Having an RV means that you have the freedom to travel to wherever the road takes you. As long as you appreciate hot, dry weather, these campgrounds are definitely worth a visit.

We’ve compiled a list of the top 13 best RV campgrounds in Arizona for your convenience. If you’re a full-time RVer, try to stop at all of these places at least once. You’ll be glad you did.

1. Grand Canyon Railway RV Park

One of the best reasons to visit Arizona is to take a peek at one of the world's greatest natural wonders: the Grand Canyon. While you can park next to the Grand Canyon during the day, it’s much better to stay at an RV park nearby and ride to the monument for a visit.

This way, you don’t have to worry about crowds or finding a spot for your RV. During peak season (between Memorial Day and Labor Day), the RV parking lots can fill up fast.

Best of all, staying at the Grand Canyon Railway Park means that you can take the train to the canyon, as well as other sites throughout Arizona.

  • Historic train rides.
  • Close to Route 66.
  • WiFi and laundry facilities.
  • Full hookups.
