Best RV Campgrounds in Virginia

With summer well underway, now is the perfect time to plan an RV getaway if you haven’t already. Depending on your location and preferences, Virginia might be just the place for it.

As far as states go, Virginia has it all. It has a long and storied history, and its natural beauty ranges from the Appalachian Mountains to the Atlantic coast. Add in some of the best of Southern cuisine, and you’ll see why it’s such a popular destination for RV travelers.

Virginia is also a big state. You have a lot of options when it comes to where to stay with your RV. To help you get started, we’ve scoured the state and created this list of ten of our favorites, as well as the amenities of each.

1. Fort Chiswell RV Park

Fort Chiswell RV Park is located in Max Meadows, and we love it for its spacious pull-through campsites and convenient location near I-77 and I-8. You’ll love it for the verdant scenery, distant mountain view and all of the amenities it offers as a Good Sam-affiliated campground.

It’s the perfect place to set up your home away from home while you take day trips to explore scenic southwestern Virginia. Fort Chiswell RV Park also features a heated pool and nearby options for mini-golf, hiking and river rafting. You can check their availability and make a reservation online quickly and easily through their website.
