Brown County State Park in Nashville, IN is home to one of the most beautiful campgrounds in Indiana. The park itself has three different types of camping including rustic, modern, and improved sites for both primitive car camping or RV use. All campsites are available on a first-come-first-serve basis but can also be reserved online through Reserve America up to four months in advance. Only improved sites have electric hookups while moderns lack electricity completely. All sites include water access and picnic tables indoors with fire rings outside. One thing that sets this campground apart from others is that it includes more than just typical tent camping experiences including hunting cabins, yurts, Airstreams/RVs, off-peak cabin rentals for families on a budget, and group camping.
2. Lake Haven Retreat
Lake Haven Retreat is a campground with both lakeside and wooded sites offering views of the lake, picnic table, fire ring, and electric hookup. It also offers free fishing in one of two stocked ponds or on Lake Michigan.

Hidden Paradise Campground is a great place to go camping in the state of Indiana. The campgrounds are clean and well-maintained, with plenty of fun activities for kids, adults, and seniors alike. In addition to all the amenities you would expect from a quality campground - such as electricity and water hookups, sewage, showers/bathrooms, etc. - Hidden Paradise offers many things that most other campsites do not! Some examples include an onsite restaurant (the Hungry Toad), laundromat services (in case your clothes get dirty), an arcade room (complete with pool tables!).

6. Eby’s Pines RV Park and Campground
Are you looking for a family-friendly place to camp near Indianapolis? Look no further than Eby’s Pines RV Park and Campgrounds. This park is great for all types of campers: tent, pop-up, and motorhome. The sites here are spacious and many already have concrete pads with electric and water hookups. Amenities include laundry facilities, restrooms with hot showers, picnic tables, fire rings at every site or available upon request, and even wifi! Pets are welcome on leashes; there is also a kennel if you want your pet to be watched while away from the camper.
7. Crawfordsville KOA
Just south of Crawfordsville is a wonderful campground. The Crawfordsville KOA offers sites and cabins fit for anyone and any amount of people and vehicles. There are 120 camping spaces graced with beautiful trees to provide shade in the hot summer months. Each site also has its own picnic table, fire ring, and electric hookup (30/50 amps). Bathrooms are supplied with hot showers and there is even a nice indoor pool (open only during the summer months). RV hookups are available as well for an extra fee. The whole facility is surrounded by a fifteen-foot fence for added security while you're away from your site. This KOA also offers a playground, horseshoe pits, volleyball nets, firewood bundles, a miniature golf course, and an outdoor game room fitted with ping pong & air hockey tables. There are fishing ponds for the anglers out there as well as planned activities that occur every Sunday evening during the summer months.
8. Clifty Falls State Park
This state park features hiking trails along Clifty Creek and scenic waterfalls. The park is divided into three sections. If you book one of the cabins at the Red River Campground, you'll stay near Big Clifty Falls. To stay near Little Clifty Falls, reserve a cabin at Horseshoe Canyon Campground. You can also pitch your tent at either campground.
If sleeping under the stars isn't really your thing, book a room at the Lodge at River Bluff. You'll have access to all the activities in the park, including hiking trails and canoe rentals.
9. Michigan City Campground
This campground is located near Michigan City, Indiana on the shores of Lake Michigan. It has an outdoor pool and a miniature golf course. Nearby activities include surfing at Beach, playing sports at The Porter County Expo Center, or ride a roller coaster at Santa Claus Land. The campground also provides basketball, volleyball, and horseshoes. It has all the amenities of a home with a clubhouse, heated bath house with showers, laundry facilities, and water hookups for RVs. You can even bring your boat to launch it at one of 4 ramps or fish off the pier.
10. Indianapolis KOA
Indianapolis KOAA is Indiana's best campground for many reasons. First of all, the service is unrivaled. The staff is kind and courteous, always willing to help out with anything you need. Second, this KOA has an amazing location off of interstate 70 (exit 193). This makes it extremely accessible to anyone in the area, whether they're visiting family or attending a Colts game at Lucas Oil Stadium
Accessibility is key at Indy KOA. It's very close to downtown Indianapolis (around 6 miles) and only 20 minutes away from the heart of Indianapolis' cultural scene on Massachusetts Avenue (where one can find literally restaurants, pubs, music, etc.). There are also several parks, museums, and other interesting attractions in Indy (see below).
Another great thing about KOA is the amenities. They have a pool (with lounge chairs), basketball court, playgrounds, grills for cooking, and electric/water hookups for RVs.
All in all, this campground offers some of the best services you can find nationally as well as some of the best conditions one can hope to find at any campground anywhere.
11. Circle B RV Park & Cabins
Circle B RV Park & Cabins in Bedford is a great place to spend a weekend in the hills. Circle B offers cabins and RV hookups alike in a quiet campground with fishing ponds, hiking trails, and an onsite playground for children. Both full-service and self-service sites are available.
The park is gated and well-maintained. Spots with hookups are spacious and shaded, while un-hookup sites offer plenty of privacy in a wooded setting with gorgeous views of the surrounding hills. There is easy access to swimming with an onsite pool, as well as boating activities at nearby Lake Monroe and Geist Reservoir.
Laundry facilities, restrooms, and showers are always clean and in working condition. The staff is very friendly and helpful!
12. Timberline Valley RV Park
It's not just that the scenic camping area at Timberline Valley is beautiful. It's that all of their amenities are family-friendly and perfect for an Indiana getaway. There are sites along the Ohio River where campers can fish or simply enjoy the surroundings, accompanied by a walking trail around the park with plenty of wildlife to see - ducks, geese, deer, wild turkeys, beavers, squirrels... even raccoons!
If you stay in one of their charming cabins with air conditioning and heat or one of their premium RV hookups with 50 amp service you will have access to their swimming pool - open Memorial Day through Labor Day - as well as modern restrooms stocked with plush towels and hot showers.
Though pets are welcome (with a small nightly fee), you will find that this secluded park has something for everyone. From the pool to the playground and from cable TV to propane sales, Timberline Valley is one of those places that just makes life easy on your next RV trip.

CERAland Park is one of the best campgrounds in Indiana. Located on Lake Michigan, CERAland Park is a top-rated camping destination for many reasons.
For one, it's located right by Lake Michigan, which offers singing sands and serene beaches for relaxing evenings. However, if you want to make your trip an action-packed adventure, there are great activities like fishing and boating too!
With CERAland Park comes great family activities that everyone will enjoy. Some of the exciting things you can do with your family include visiting their Amish-themed village where you can see how they build these amazing structures without nails or hammers! There is also a petting zoo where kids can play with goats and sheep!
14. Follow the River RV Resor
Follow the River RV Resor is located in French Lick, IN is the best place to go camping or spend your vacation for relaxation and recreation. If you are looking for an outdoor getaway that includes hiking, horseback riding, fishing, hunting, biking, golfing, or just plain sight-seeing then this is the place to visit. The campground features over 500 acres of beautiful property along Salt Creek. There are shaded campsites with up to 30/50 amp electric service plus water hookups.
Recreational activities include a swimming pool, volleyball, basketball, horseshoes, and many more on-site amenities.
The campground is located close to French Lick Resort Casino which offers over 150 slot machines plus keno, a poker room with 2 table games plus off-track betting. Other casinos are located within 20 minutes of the resort.
15. Caboose Lake Campground
Caboose Lake Campground is one of the best campgrounds in Indiana. It's a family-friendly place to stay complete with amenities like swimming pools, children's playgrounds, miniature golf courses, and even a zip line!
