1. Alaskan Anglers RV Park

Along the coast of Cook Inlet in the town of Ninilchik is the Alaskan Anglers RV Park. This full service RV park features 41 full hookup, 10 partial hookup and three extra large RV sites. Amenities include an RV dump site, boat and RV wash station, Wi-Fi, a fenced pet run, modern laundry and bath facilities, on-site fish smoker and gear rentals.

With nearby water access, there’s plenty of opportunity for fishing or clamming. The park offers fishing charters on-site with camping and fishing specials. Fish for halibut and salmon or go clamming, then have your catch packed and shipped home on-site.

2. Eagle’s Rest RV Park & Cabins

Located in Valdez, Eagle’s Rest RV Park is surrounded by awesome mountain views. There are 13 RV areas with 50, 30 or 20 AMP plug-ins and full hookup sites. A gas station with diesel and propane, and a 24 hour convenience store are located next door to the park.

3. Heritage RV Park

Heritage RV Park is a seaside campground in Homer. Most of the 107 RV sites allow campfires, and all are full hookup with free Wi-Fi and a picnic table. The park allows access to a private beach and offers a laundromat, shower facilities and a cafe.

The park is located on the Homer Spit in the middle of Kachemak Bay. A few restaurants are within walking distance of the campground, while the rest of the town is just down the road. Area attractions include fishing and wildlife charters, biking, clamming and beach combing.

The resort has a handful of RV sites with electric and water or dry hookups. There is a dump site and water access on-site and each site has access to paid Wi-Fi.

5. Black Bear Campground

The Black Bear Campground is a United States Forest Service campground located within Chugach National Forest. If you are interested in a more primitive camping experience, this is the place for you. Though the Forest Service doesn’t recommend RVs park here, smaller vehicles and campers may visit. There is no electricity, running water or a dump station at this campground.

Amenities include picnic tables, fire rings, vault toilet, hand water pump and bear lockers. This is an excellent area for wildlife viewing and whitewater rafting. While there is no fishing in the area, visitors can obtain hunting permits.

Operated by the state of Alaska, the South Rolly Lake Campground is a RV-capable campground within Nancy Lake State Recreation Area. There is no RV size limit, but this is another campground without RV hookups. Amenities include toilets, water access, picnic sites, and a boat launch.

No sewer dumping is available on-site but is available free of charge in town. Last but not least is the Tenderfoot Creek Campground in the Chugach National Forest. There are no hookups at this campground but amenities include potable water, toilets, picnic tables, fire pits and a boat ramp. Activities at this campground include boating, fishing and wildlife viewing.

This campground is located on Summit Lake in a glacial valley between two mountain ranges. This scenic location provides not only great views but also a peaceful location for river, creek and lake fishing.
